Front control arm replacement?
My 2010 Camaro SS has 161xxx miles and I’ve gotten a huge clunk in front end when hitting any bump, crack, or buckle in the road. I could feel it vibrate all through the car last time out. I’ve been reading and I think the front control arms, bushings and joints are perhaps shot.
My car is lower on Ridetech coilovers 1.0” +/- already and that’s the only front suspension mods so far. Am I in the right track? Anything else I could replace easily at this time? Would Z/28 control arms be direct replacement and upgrade?

Yeah mine went bad around 150k but there are two sets of lower control arms on each side of the front. There's the front lower and the front lower rearward arms. I had a bad clunk in the front too so replaced both set. The bushings were bad in them. That seemed to solve the problem.

I know control arm part #23105018 and 9 have harder bushings. Is there any benefit to upgrade to the "lower rearward" z/28 control arms?

23105018/9 are the radius rods and have the same bushings as other trim levels but come with stiffer nylon inserts compared to the softer rubber inserts on other trim levels, improving steering response and reducing dynamic toe changes especially when braking.
The "lower rearward" Z28 arms have a stiffer bushing compared to other trims, further reducing dynamic toe changes under hard acceleration/braking. The non-Z28 bushing is known to be very well made so unless you track the car you probably won't notice much difference.
