The only issue I have had so far was the HUD being slow to refresh. But besides that it's started up fine. I don't think it's gotten to -4 when my car was outside though. It was probably 10 degrees F when the HUD wasn't refreshing properly initially. It started working properly after my car warmed up.

I must admit I have a mild concern because this thing is new and should be able to handle the climate. The wires should be well insulated IMO. Mind you, it's very rare that it's that cold out here.
I will do that if left out in the cold too long, I've only had it happen if its -25 or worse though. No reason to be concerned unless it does not refresh

I had a Vette in Great Falls, Montana for a while and when it went to -40, believe it or not it started. But, the noise from the transmission and everything else worked very strangely. When you went over any uneven pavement the car sounded like it was going to break in half. Cold weather does some strange things to cars!

Thou shalt buy me a winter beater, another garage, and pay the extra insurance and repair bills. Let it be done.

I bet the computer turns off certain accessories when the temps drop too low; just like that annoying Ice Warning comes on below 37F. Nothing to worry about.

I don't think they validated these cars for the cold. My radio looks like crap below freezing temps. Streaky verticle lines. DIC in the center between the tac and speedo looks blotchy too when cold.

mine sits outside at work at -35 and never a problem. It is driven every day and that probly helps. no machines like to sit idle. the windows are a bit of a problem with freezing but not when it is properly cold and to cold for moisture. When I wash the car the windows do freeze, but the doors do open and the window try to go down, give them a good push down and breke them loose. The windows are the only cold wheather problemes I have had.
years ago before global warming I had a 1970 el camino and drove it through some realy cold winters. It would always start, but then I would have to put it in nutral and slowly work the clutch out to get the trans turning and after the engine and trans were warmed up the dif had to be got moveing. one -45 morning I got in and the whole vinal seat shatered.

I don't have a HUD, and the gauges always seem to work, but when it's it the 20s when I start the car in the morning the radio always seems to look messed up... Like lines of the screen "frozen" and bleeding? It's fine in the warmer weather though.

I fired her up and she started up no problem but nothing lit up. The speed and rpm odometers lit up but everything else stayed dark. Thought it was odd. Sat there staring at it puzzled. The parking brake was really stiff too. After two minutes I turned her off and re-started her and everything lit up.

Also, my HUD just displayed the Chevy bowtie and had the words "HUD is warming up" displayed underneath. Thought that was funny. I drove off and about 5 minutes later I hit the highway and turned on cruise control, then the HUD snapped out of its funk, returning to normal.

Anybody else have this happen?

Learned something new about my Camaro. She doesn't like being frozen. Hope nothing was damaged.

I live in Ontario as well and the deep freeze this week was brutal, my Camaro is stored for the winter so I didn't experience any glitches. I'm in the aviation field and the cold played havoc on aircraft electrics/digital instruments but once things warmed up everything was normal. Seems like "Trons" don't like the cold.

Mine hasn't done that but it was 1 degree when I left work a couple mornings ago and the MS-8 sound processor takes a while to warm up. The amps power on and off till it warms up a bit.
