Got a new car, not what you think!
Well everyone I have enjoyed the heck out of both of my Camaros, but I needed to start planning better financially and the SS was first on the list of things I didn't need. Working for Lexus I was able to get a great deal on a 2014 IS 250 and that will last me for a few years. Hopefully I will be able to re-join the club sometime in the future with a brand new 2016/2017 Camaro!
All of the people I've met have been extremely wonderful and I've made some great friends in this group. I will definitely keep posting on here when I can and I will continue to be a part of NTX-C5, even planning meets if I need to! For those who are interested this is the car: |

Don't drive it too easy, or the intake valves will carbon up bad!
If you're buying it, get a catch can! (I used to work at Lexus) |

It's a lease, but I worked out in the shop for a year so I know all about the 250 and its issues. I've seen probably a hundred of them torn down to the block and cleaned some up myself. I definitely don't plan on keeping it. I may even trade it in when they bring out the 2.0t one. It just needs to get me through a couple of years, which it certainly will.

It is a nice car for sure, but the 250 is SLOW. Coming from a V6 and then a V8 Camaro, this thing feels anemic. It's a lot nicer car than those two were though (despite missing some creature comforts I think should be standard equipment on luxury cars).
I'll always have a soft spot for Camaros. If I hadn't gotten the deal I got on this car I would have one still. My next investment will probably be a third gen f-body, that way I can still be part of the club! |

i bought my daughter an Is-250 for graduation. too small, no headroom and I don't wear a seatbelt...so the 20 plus warning chimes when you start it is annoying as hell (no option to turn that thing off either). other than that is a nice car...my wife and daughter love it.

the newer Lexus styling in growing on me, never cared for the older styling it was to mundane and boring,
personally I like the new RC. and am waiting to see what the Convertible looks like when released.

For me, I prefer the old styling to the new grille design they've been throwing on the new cars. I'm not saying I liked the old styling, I just prefer it over the new. On some cars it's fine, but it looks plain stupid on the SUV's since it's just a face thrown on a Toyota and the body lines don't flow with the front end (the LX looks like a Lexus'ified drag queen)
