Date night

Hey guys I know this is a off the wall post but just kinda like to see what y'all think. The wife and I's anniversary is this Thursday and even though we have a great family car I would love to take her out in class in the ZL1 to dinner. Even though I do not like to take "Daisy" ( cars name) to any place I can not park a million miles away this nice place has valet parking. Should I trust them or say bump the classy ride to dinner and go in my old mans family car?

I hate that our car doesn't have valet mode. It definitely should.

Valet the car! If I can I prefer to valet my car if there are no safe or available parking spaces. I have only heard of one time my uncle got ONE CD stolen by a valet. And as far as them knowing how to drive your car, you should just trust them and assume your car isn't the nicest they have driven so they shouldn't be nervous haha

Don't leave any valuables in the car, otherwise, you're fine!

Make a checklist if you are really worried lol

Is your wife into the car? If not, it won't make any difference to her. She'll be happy enough to simply enjoy dinner with you.

I have used Valet parking with mine before and it was fine - I know some people are dead set against it, but I don't see any issues as long as it's a nice place.

They have probably had much more exotic cars there than the ZL1 in all fairness

It depends on you though, are you going to be worried about your car throughout dinner to the point where you don't enjoy it and your wife doesn't get your full attention because you are worried?

If so, then don't take it

I really hate to say it, but get over yourself it's just a car. Pretty bad that you make it more important that your car is safe, rather then having your wife come first. At this rate you won't have to worry about next year.

Thanks guys. My wife really likes your response. My thought is if I only keep it in the garage and only take it out for small trips and wash it every other day what am I really getting out of it. My wife knows what this car means to me but I think she says no just because of that. But she has been so supportive of me getting it and all I do with it that I want to show her off in it so I say yes

Get over yourself slingshot. Not all of us has a silver spoon in our mouth. That remark was really rude. It is not like I would ever put my car above my wife but why put any in any danger. My wife is my pride and joy my car is my joy. Some people on here just get me. Thanks

Just flip him $10 -$20 and ask to park in valet yourself.

If it was me I would take the old man car. I can’t enjoy myself if I am worried about the car. The problem is other people will not respect the car as you would. I maybe overreacting but that is just the way I am.
