You don't need either protection package and you should be working off of the invoice price, not MSRP. $500-750 over invoice is a "good" place to be.

Call "Captain" Ed Hooke at Stingray Chevy in Plant City, FL (863.899.8884) or email him at Captainhooke1@yahoo.com and see what he can do for you. He helped me out with a great deal on my SW 1LT M6.

don't buy

they will take you if you let them buy it for no more than sticker out the door or go else where. there are to many other options to buy on this sight.
your money is to hard erned for them to take advantage of you. take your time pay what you think not what they want. some of these dealers will ship to you cheaper than that.
good luck

Exactly what I was thinking.

I went to pretty much every Chevy dealer in Broward & North Dade and they all were exactly the same. MSRP + Shipping and then random fees. I just live in the wrong area to get a good deal.

Youre not alone. Seriously they all were charging way over MSRP. The one in cocount creek is still over MSRP. The one in Fort Lauderdale wouldnt budge and gave me attitude for wanting to sit in it. Theres too many rich folks here who are willing to pay over MSRP. I bought mine at MSRP in palm Coast (near Daytona) back in August.

As others are saying you can find better if you do your homework and have the time. I have heard plant city was very fair from several members on here. Just need to get north of Orlando ish...

But 600 over MSRP may be worth the headache.

hah , 600 over MSRP is a headache, i just got mine for 100 over dealer invoice , dealer selling the car for over MSRP when it came out is understandable , but its a year later c'mon , these guys are greedy, stick with your guns , you are getting ripped off.

Unfortunately, I really don't have the time. I usually work ~80-100 hours a week and just want the entire pain in the butt process to be over. I removed the two optional fees and I'm just riding the rest of it out.

I do thank everyone for their responses. I have another question, but I'm going to post it in the correct area.

Walk away. You are dealing with fcking crooks if they are tacking on charges like that.

Theft protection, appearance protection, $600 "service fee"

Flat out fcking crooks.

I got my car for below invoice. Never pay msrp. Oh yeah, I agree with the others, several of those other fees are rediculous. YOu need a different dealer. There are several honest dealers in these forums who can give you a fair price and have your car delivered to you.

look on the web and find a dealer in the snow belt up here in new york their selling just above dealer cost so they dont have to sit on them . time is hard to find but your money is harder.

The dealer prep fee is a lie. He's just defending it. By law you don't have to pay it. If they won't take it off, do not buy. PERIOD.

So what's the difference between a phone call to your local dealer, or one of the dealers here?? --> $$!
Your current dealer = $$ in his pocket.
C5 dealer = $$ in YOUR pocket.

Some of the dealers here can deliver to your front door. How convienant is that?!? What harm would it do to talk to a C5 dealer and see what they can do for you? Like others have said, one of them either has the car your looking for ready to go, or can find it. I don't know, you might have the car in maybe a week? ... or less?

Good luck with whatever you decide
