Wouldn't get rid of either, XM w/the best of Sirius is worth it to me. Once you listen to commercial free radio you won't go back. I would rather listen to silence than conventional radio. Even got my wife hooked on Sirius in her Chrystler Pacifica. My daughters has presets for when I pick her from school. You get traffic and weather when you want it and then back to music, sports, news whatever. Onstar saved a friend of mines life when he got in a wreck and I like having minutes on the phone for when I forget my cell.

I've been streaming Pandora on my phone instead of XM.. works great in my Nitro... For the Camaro, I just bring in my USB card with all my songs.. perfect...

As for ONSTAR I am unsure at this time.

I got the basic package for XM after my trial was up ... 10 dollars a month for no commercials, IM THERE!!

On Star ill probably keep just for the year then give it up, don't really drive the car too much plus I pay so much for my iPhone. I just use that and does the job just fine!

Actually she did mention the police but I told her "no please just get me to a gas station". They can give tickets for following someone? I'm sure if they pulled up behind me at the gas station then I would have had no objections to getting the police there . But they kept driving so I just pumped my gas and left quickly. She didn't hang up until I assured her I was okay. I was happy with OnStar and that's when I decided that once my free service ran out, I would continue it. I will do the same with the Camaro as well. Nothing but for OnStar.

XM will be gone. I have an iPod that will hold 4000 songs. I don't even HAVE 4000 songs!! I'm borrowing CD'd from all my buddys/family/co-workers. I've put stuff on there I don't even like, and it's still not even half full.

I just plug it in and hit random ... easy and commercial free

I've kept the OnStar in the wife's minivan. It's the primary child transportation choice (TV's and Nintendo plug-ins) ... so I just like knowing it's in there. But unless they have a multi-car plan of some type. I plan to let it expire on the Camaro.

Any trick to signing up in the USA or will they allow it with no issues ?

I love the service - I've had Sirius in my last car with a portable unit, and have become addicted to no commercials. I don't have ANY FM stations on my favorites - it is too frustrating listening to commercials.

Also? Howard Stern, FTW.

On the Onstar side? I will be moving to the Safe & Sound subscription once my year is up. The immediate response in an accident is worth it for me. Never had to use, never hope to use it, but it sure makes me feel better driving.

XM, yes renewed cause commerical-free. Keeping onstar-only for the 'lojack'...use nothing else with it.

Ok guys...great answers!

My next question has something to do with Patrick's response...how many of you are putting money into the "car phone" that's built into OnStar as well as OnStar?

I don't think I'll be continuing with XM...same idea with the fact that I possess an iPod shuffle AND an iPhone. As for OnStar...I think I might keep it...I'm leaning that way anyway. We'll see in a year as some of you have said. Good answers and I especially like OuSoonersGirl's reply! What a great story!

I bet she's quite a beautiful girl...no excuse on the hoodlums parts though!

XM has garbage reception and suffers from the same suckitude popular playlist that the radio has.

Hey Ultimate, I didn't mean to offend you on my 'hoodlum' comment. I tend to not use my words quite right. When my very rowdy nephews get a little out of hand I refer them as 'little hoodlums' but I mean it as they are aggressive. I'm sorry I offended you. Forgive me

You need a US billing address. If you do it online you need a US credit card as well. I called in and gave my US address and used my Canadian credit card without any problems. Just explain.
