Fuse Pull gave me CEL

Hi guys,

I did a fuse pull yesterday to reset my fuel trims... and this morning, I got a CEL. Is this normal?

Well, for now, i cleared the code with my Dashhawk... but I just hope i didnt permanently damage anything. Any ideas would be nice, for peace of mind.

=D

Fuse pull is for the V8 specifically the L99 somewhat less for the LS3. Not sure if the same # fuses will have the same effect on the LLT V6. They might not have even been numbered to the same components. Chances are it will be fine it probably just thinks you blew a fuse and now that it's "corrected" it should be fine.

Well, yea im v6, but the Fuse numbers should be the same. Since it's resetting the same thing. #5 and #20, engine control and ignition. =p Well, hopefully the CEL wont come back and I didn't break anything.

Yes it's normal... Drive around vary your style for about hour or so. Next time you start the cel will go off.

Why would you do a fuse pull for the V6? The fuse pull is for timing/fuel reset on the V8 when a low octane fuel is detected. AFAIK the V6 does NOT require high octane fuel. Hence there will be no improvement with a fuse pull.
