Ah okay. I remember that. And sorry to hear about your motor. Hard to believe something so small can be a catylist to do so much damage. I guess if oil were blood, then the oil pump would be the heart. Hope your up and running soon and your wallet doesn't get beaten up too badly!

Anybody got a line on a local shop that does floor pan replacement? Looks like I'm most likely going with the full pan including braces and rockers. Can't think of a reason to cheep out and just replace the sheet metal. ...... but I haven't heard the price, yet.

Further inspection of the car and the bank account indicates I will be replacing 1 cross member and a full pan. Looks like I can take care of everything but the final welding.

I guess I'm just looking for a mobile welder. I SUCK at welding!

yup.. in gwinnett county to get a drivers license you just go to the DMV and pick one out of a fish bowl.

As long as you know which way is FORWARD they don't care.

(sorry gwinnett residents.. yall got some CRAZY drivers up there..)

Certainly tho the city and surrounding area is very different from towns farther away. The stuff you do here every day just to keep up would get you in trouble with the law in augusta.

Did you take it by the dealer? assuming they wont replace the engine means they definatly wont, if you take it by, they might. I hear different stories from different dealers and people. Sometimes they dont care if its mod'ed, sometimes they do.

Cant hurt to take it and force them to deny you I wouldnt think. Who knows maybe they wont even blink, mean the dealer gets payed by Chevy for the repair, your making them money.
