CO2/Nitrous sprayer

Ok guys I figure I'll get alot of crap for this but where can I get those sprayers that shoot what looks like CO2 or nitrous from the hood like you see at the drag stripe and stuff and what are they really called

There called purge valves. They do that to get any condensation out of the line so it's just gas going into the intake which atomizes better than solid drops. Are you getting the full system or just the valves for show?

As MCSrage has already stated, they are purge nozzles. If it's not for an active nitrous system, do not do it. Pretty lame.

I'm pretty sure he talking about the "pretty lame" CO2 system guys use primarily to look like they really have nitrous. They even install lights so you can see it better.

IMO even purging N20 in large amounts is pretty lame. I have a purge valve on mine but you really don't have to have it. You can just hit the nitrous one time on the way to the track and you are good unless you have leaks.

As for where to get them, I think I've seen them on eBay. Try the flea market.

At least 99% of Kentuckians are legal.

Nope, its a nice to have. I bought my kit off somebody else and it already had a purge solenoid. Before I put money in a purge solenoid, I would invest in a nitrous pressure gage inside the car or some other trinkets that are more important.

The theory behind it is you want the nitrous to be in a liquid state when you run, but as nitrous warms in the line and leaks out wherever it can find a way, the nitrous in the line will go from liquid to gas and provide a smaller initial hit. The purge valve releases the gas in the line and ensures you have liquid all the way to the nitrous solenoid.
