It's gonna take time to get used to these new 26" tires. Launch methodology, acceleration, and shifting is all different now. First 2 passes had 1.8 60 ft. First 4 passes all 11.5xxx. That was my goal for this first trip on the new Hoosiers - knock 2 10ths off my 60ft and ET. I know I can get another 10th off the 60ft and another 2 10ths off the ET.

Hey Merc: Thanks for updating the list from my last post. I'm driving the M6, though not the A10. No biggie... Although a much better time, this slip will occupy the same place (#8) on the list. I won't move up 'til I get 11.3 or better.

You should be able to drop that 60 even more it looked like your car was bogging down right after launch.

Yeah, gotta get used to these tires... I think I can squeeze out another 10th - maybe 2. Just looked through my PDR videos. Lots of room for improvement. That misfire issue is back too. First pass engine power occilated between 3500-4000 RPM 3 times after shift to 2nd while WOT. Probably lost a 10th or 2 there. The slight bog cost me at least another 10th.

I was sure fun being in 11.5 territory, though. I've got my sights on 11.3 now.

Thanks buddy

Hows the weather up in NH
My better half is from there .

I still think I can get the convertible into the 11.80s and beat even the hard top SS by removing some weight and better air and some tricks .
Im gonna

“ science the hell “ out of the launch playong with pressures launch methods, procedures

There was a mclaren 570s there today
The guy went 9.60s in the quarter and one of the lashway vettes went mid 9s as well , my buddys Z06 automatic vette went 10.87 bone stock as well it was a nice day but 700-800 DA temp in the mid to high 70s today.

Minor Correction:TRZ174's transmission is a A10, not an M6 on the list.

Nice run TRZ.

One of the things I experimented with , was no launch control on a stock convertible with stock tune and tires .

I did manage a " stab and steer 1.86 60ft on the stock tires " . For the rookies who dont know what S&S is , its basically turning off traction control , in sport or track mode , and then stabbing the throttle on the last amber and steer it as straight as possible . It can be a real headache on a ill prepped track . As the tires were begging to be cracking loose i could feel them and hear them wanting to spin. Thankfully Ive been doing this for 30 years ( in my mid 40s now ) and basically got launching my convertible SS into a science . I did better than the Hard top manual 6th gen camaro SS .
1.86 60fts are decent IMO and almost as fast as the nannies ( traction control/ launch mode on )
Each car has their strengths . IM glad I got the automatic , I just maybe would have wished I waited for the a10 automatic .

For the record I did break into the low 1.80s and managed a 1.79 60ft in launch mode on stock tires with stock tune & no mods .

That's how I got my PB 12.118, and it was early in the day. Could not repeat it.
