Warranty safe?

I've been reading the description and I was wondering if its realy warranty safe and can be restored so that the dealer will now be able to detect it?

yes the dealer can detect it, as the PCM will record how many "flashes" have been done to it, so when your PCM says it has taken XX # of flashes but the GM system only shows that YY number have been done, you are then boned..

go search the corvette forums.. you will find out otherwise, hundreds of guys with voided warranties using a variety of hand held tunners including diablo (as well as others)

and for the record, I owned a Chrysler 300c, and I bought their dealer Tech Tool the Star Scan when I had the car.

I had a diablo for my Chrysler and I could very well see the counters everytime I flashed the vehicle be it, with the star scan or the diablo.

yes that was Chrysler and not GM, but not much of a difference.

---

and my question to diablo is this:

if they claim that it is warranty safe, why then will they not back that claim by paying for ALL your DENIED warranty claims once GM has voided your warranty as a result of the diablo tune flash.

answer: because they know damn well that GM can tell.

OP, do you have the V6 or the V8? As far as I know, the V6 platform doesn't have a counter similar to the SS platforms. There have been a few people that have significant warranty work done and they had the Trifecta tune in their cars.

EDIT: They have the LLT you have the LFX. I don't think the LFX platform has the flash counter now or not. Check back in the LFX section for this.

Diablo use to be a frequent vendor on here until a member on here had bought one of their so called "stealth tunes" and later had engine problems. When he flashed back to stock and went to the dealer to have it fixed, GM caught the tune and denied the claim. Shortly after that, a challenge was issued by the members of this forum to Diablo and to the couple other vendors who sell "stealth tunes" to prove that their tunes are stealth. After the challenge was issued, Diablo and the other vendors stopped claiming they was stealth and eventually stopped visiting the forums. The challenge still stands and to this day not a single tuner has been able to prove that their tunes are undetectable.
