Camaro ZL1 Convertible Named Futures Classic Collectible

Figured I'd share this. Its on the front page of Yahoo about the Futures Collectibles of this times era, as determined by Hagerty, an insurance company for classic cars.

The ZL1 Convertible made their list of future classic collectibles:

Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible ($59,545): "Chevrolet’s 'most powerful production convertible ever' will likely be limited to hardcore enthusiasts and command a premium when they surface years down the road." If there's a strike against a car like the ZL1 convertible as a luxury car, it's that it's such a modern Q-ship that there may never be that many Camaro enthusiasts who can afford it.

Simply Marvelous!!

I cannot wait to purchase this model.... as much as I like the 2014 Stingray! I would rather have the drop top ZL1.

All the actual Camaros in 20 years will be Classic Collectibles !

Our grand children will be driving some electric powered with High Fuel economy rating that matches the 2032 Government regulations that will require the use of some special modified Gas that does not pollute the environment and in order to go over 65mph you will need to send an "Emergency special request" to the police....

Our grand sons and daughters will be saying "You know! Back in the days, my grandpa used to own a real Camaro ! with a real powerful Gas engine that was producing over 400hp or 600hp and could drive it at any speed he wanted ! WOW! How lucky they were !

In the future, these days we are still enjoying now such as the sound of a real Muscle car, modify our exhaust systems, add Long tube headers and all the fun we can still have with our cars will be long gone.

also another article over on the GM authority web site regarding Haggerty says...

Hagerty Insurance recently released their annual Hot List, and among the ten vehicles that made it were the 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible and Corvette 427 Convertible. The Hagerty Hot List predicts what vehicles launched during the year would be most collectible in the future.
Considering that the LS7-powered 427 Convertible was released during the tail-end of the C6 Corvette’s life, it will easily be one of the rarer Corvettes on the market, especially the 60th Anniversary Editions. Everything about the 427 yells “garage queen,” which is a shame, because it’s an absolute blast to drive. As for the ZL1 Convertible, it really needs no other explanation other than it’s the fastest production Chevrolet convertible ever made

I'm in the process of hunting down the one I want. seems I will have to settle on some of the options unless one is built between now and when I find it.

I'm happy to read this. Might just make me hang on to this vehicle longer than the others I've had.
