So sad all these petty laws , One of the earliest scripts found thousands of years ago was written on how to start and manage a country , 1 of the few lines were to avoid petty laws against the people .
Truly the last thing we need are more laws to write tickets and pay fines . Hope you guys across the Lake defeat this .

Those who maintain a liberal mindset feel you are not intelligent enough to make your own decisions. Thus they feel the need to regulate your actions and behavior by enacting laws.
Here In Washington, there have been noise laws for a long time, mostly aimed at the motorcycles. The police would have to pull over virtually every motorcycle on the road for excessive noise. So what they do, is if they stop you for any other infraction they tack the noise violation onto the other violation. I doubt many would get pulled for noise (unless it is very excessive). Sounds like they are just trying to catch up to the other states. We face these new type of restrictions all the time.

Get ready boys and girls,......unfortunately they are slowing going to take away your right to enjoy fast and loud cars. This is how it starts. Slowly, and then more and more.

When did we go from accepting things that annoyed us as the price of freedom, to thinking the ability to tell other people what to do was freedom?

Everyone likes to think theres nothing they can do about it, and so they do nothing, and the trends continue.

You do realize that Republicans control the Michigan legislature, right.

Whether this proposed law will be enacted or not, I don't know. To say that it is further erosion of our freedom is a real stretch. What I do see is further evidence of legislators who concentrate on all of these little annoyances instead of concentrating on things that really matter like the economy, healthcare, etc. The same thing is happening in Washington, DC

Our Republican Governor and our Republican controlled Senate and House are considered "liberal" by yoo's southerners?

Sorry, we are ruled by the party of "no" these days.
