5th Gen Convertible - Yes or No?

I have been told by a few dealers and other contacts, that GM is seriously considering not producing a 5th Gen convertible. What have any of you on this site heard concening convertible production? I really have had my heart set on a convertible and was willing to wait until next year for them.

Do not ask your dealer about GM's future plans. They will lie to you.

Dealers have no idea what GM is planning. GM does not keep them informed, and they would not keep up with the updates if they did. GM's future plans for a Camaro convertible remain intact. The convertible may be delayed, but GM still plans on making it.

Once again, dealers are not informed about GM's future plans. They sometimes receive updates, but they do not participate in the decision-making process, nor do they participate in the hierarchy that changes GM policy. Do not listen to your dealer about GM's future plans.

The only known exception to this rule is CamaroScotty, a member of this site.

For good information on GM future plans reference the following Camaro5 users:
• fbodfather

I'm sure I missed some quality people, but these are the first ones that came to mind.

if you want to early scoop check here - info gets put up here first 99% of the time(along with other enthusiast forums) there are members here who are on the design and marketing teams.

as soon as something is aloud to go public (and sometimes before) it will be put here. A majority of the members here know more than your average dealer.
