Yeah, FB is nothing but trouble. Once you get used to not logging in, there is a sense of relief and liberation that reassures you that you've made the right decision to "kill facebook". Your info will always be there though.

I used to use it a lot. Way to much at work once I got the "app". I since deleted the app and killed my account. I do have another account but it's most reserved for people I actually know. Not sure why I have it tho... I have all their phone numbers for the most part.

To the OP, good for you. There's several rumors going around that buying a Camaro makes you a very wise person. lol

Never used Facebook. I lose enough hours every week here.

You realize you can choose to not allow someone to be your friend on facebook, right? And you can also choose who sees (and who doesn't see) the content on your facebook page.
But, I guess for most it's just easier to delete it and walk away. More power to you. But I don't understand how creating an entire thread about it on a relatively popular online forum makes it any better than, say, posting a status update on facebook

I have a facebook account but I use it almost exclusively to look at pictures from friends in far away places and get band updates.
My wife plays a few of the games but that's about it. I also have a twitter account. I don't "tweet", I just use it to get instant updates from MotoGP and WSBK races/racers and such. OP: More power to you but I don't think I'll be following suit. BTW: I have two Facebook accounts. One for family and the wife's friends and one for all of my 'alternate' stuff (dirty jokes, sick humor, rough banter etc...) between me and my buds.

I have Facebook to keep in touch with fans and keep the media up to date with our games and such.

I've used Facebook to reconnect with some long-lost friends, so I don't think it's horrible. I also use it to keep tabs on my stepson's activities (since no other adults in his family seem to care to). But I do see how it can be a career killer. My former boss came down on me hard, telling me I was posting negative things about work. How "TGIF" or "Oh lord, is it Monday again?" can be interpreted the way she did is beyond me, but that's beside the point. Employers - and potential employers - DO look at it. And no matter what your settings are, they can find a way to see what you post. Common sense is important....

I got mine killed and I had to wait 14days for full deactivation. I tested it about a year ago and it was totally gone. I think it got told that you cant restart and account by just logging on. Before I got rid of mine I deleted all pics and removed tags etc. I was told that FB gives a voice to certain socially-challenged individuals a lil like myself. If anything it causes more anxiety. I know groups of people IRL and none of them use FB, it's too socially complex and overwhelming.
