With 1200hp I think I would probably want solid subframe bushings. Thinking of all the things that would need to be done to handle 1200hp I'm kinda suprised you would even have to ask about it...

Hell, I want some solid bushings and I only have 450 or so hp.

I think he means connectors not bushings

Awe your right I missed that. I had to search, I hadn't really seen subframe connectors for the 5th gens. Now I have. Inserting foot in mouth.

You need to see if you have wheel hop first. If it has full bushings and the correct alignment and still hops, then do it. The connectors add weight, so I would consider them a last effort.

I'm going with the Hotchkis Max Chassis -- I have the BMR poly's right now, but solids in the future -- this should help me...

I think since your adding a cage in the future and have no road course plans you don't need sub frame connectors. I think in your case it would just add weight. The 5th gen is already tied together pretty well from the factory unlike previous gens.

I'm curious about the subframe connector cause I upgraded my rear suspension by installing trailing arms, toe links, upper control arm bushings, and solid subframe mounts yet I still get wheel hop. Rwhp is 692 and rwtrq is 585. I had problems doing a burnout at the track if I didn't spin the tires in the water box coating my DR with water.

With the old motor I ran between 1200 and 1500 rwhp and no sub frame connectors. No issues at all... New motor is over 2,000 rwhp and still no sub frame connectors.

I just moved to a ten point cage welded in and yes that will stiffen it a bunch... If you are going to be adding a welded in cage, then I would save the money for other mods...

Just my opinion...

Thanks for the info. I plan on installing a cage in the next year so I'll wait.
