Performance Data for 2015 - 2016 (Camaro, Mustang, Challenger, BMW) UPDATED 9/17/15
I spent sometime pulling all the data I could find online around the performance of a lot of cars we like to compare thing to. All of the data within comes for reviews and previews from Car and Driver, MotorTrend, manufactures and other trusted press sites.
As of now, we do not know the final detail of the Mustang GT350 or 350R so those remain fairly blank. Also we only have GM's data for the 2016 Camaro so that data is being used until press release their tests. This chart is meant to provide factual details based on information we have. Nothing within these charts will reflect member testing or results. All results are the best results for the base model car running either Manual or Automatic. Any empty slots are mainly because I wasn't able to find truly accurate data. Feel free to post details for empty slots below with a link to the source. Pricing is based on website current offerings. Some include delivery while others do not. Google Doc: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...6Xw/edit#gid=0 The image below is sorted by 0-60 times.

Crazy to think a SS can be so close to a 350r weight. If it stays that close to a car built with carbon fiber wheels than it would make the car minus the wheels lighter. Now just think about what a possible z28 replacement could do if its not absorbed into the zl1. Say high 3500 with 525-550hp with big tires and brakes.

I don't know where you got the 2015 SS 1/4 mile time of 13.6, most have it at 12.9 or 13.0. Is that a typo?

For the 2015 Mustang GT PP, here's the braking data from MT.
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/..._gt/specs.html Also has good data on '15 1LE and '15 Scat Pack Challenger A8

Nice work. But I'd double check the lateral g number for the 2015 Mustang GT. I think it's more like .94-for the non-PP cars and .95-.97 for the PP cars.

I have no problem in changing it if you have accountable data posted somewhere that says otherwise.

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/..._gt_first_test If so, that is not a lateral g number. I think Edmunds did a PP vs non-pp car test. That had the base GT at .85. Nothing remarkable, for sure. |

As well as the basic SS is I say do away with the 1le drop the price on a z28 replacement and go nuts on a zl1.

I dont know if they can drop the price on a Z28 replacement. Look at the increase in price we're seeing with the SS. This new Alpha platform, while light, is expensive. Margins are already low for GM. I think we're going to see some pretty expensive Hi-PO models for the camaro. After seeing this weight loss though, i'm sure they can match the weight.
