Original Delco Air Diverter Valve Part # Needed

Hi All -

I have a 1980 Camaro Sport Coupe w/ the 305cid 4bbl V8. The car is all original at 55,600 miles. I need to replace the smog pump air diverter valve (air bypass valve). Can anyone who has access to an original 1980 parts catalog provide me the original Delco part # for this application? I've searched high and low all over the internet and parts stores, but haven't had any luck.

A part number would definitely help get me going in the right direction (if there is a NOS part to be found out there)! I posted this question over at NastyZ28.com over a year ago, but haven't had any luck there. I was hoping that one of you Gen2 owners might be able to help ... Thanks!

Still in need?

Hey 45th RS, I know it has been awhile since you posted but did you ever find that part number you were looking for? I believe this is the OE # 17063050. I also have a diverter valve I pulled off of my 1980 RS Camaro with a 305 v8 that passed smog. You can have it if you want. My 1980 Z28 is a C4 car and requires a diverter valve with a plug.

Here's an NOS one that was on ebay. The auction ended a couple weeks ago and it appears it was unsold. May want to check to see if he/she still has it??

Edit: Never mind. I saw it was relisted and sold on 4/18.

Thanks for the recent responses guys, but I did eventually find the part last year!

I hadn't received any feedback on the part # question, so I ended up purchasing an old GM Parts Catalog from ebay and found the part number quickly myself. From there, I contacted a company called Collectors Auto Supply in Oroville, Washington. They specialize in hard to find, obsolete parts. A fellow enthusiast at a car show told me about the company and I had the valve in my hand two weeks later!

I received the part late last summer and installed it for my last car show of the season!
