Sweet.....Glad to here everyone getting taken care of by JDP. Once I worked with them and found out their prices I've been trying to lead everyone in their direction ever since.

If I had known how cheap JDP was selling the #16580 I might have just bought it from them instead of building mine. At that time the systems were typically selling for $950 and most places still sell them for that.

Once I get headers there's a good chance I'll be switching out to the 3" Magnaflow system anyway but that'll probably be another year or so.

spend the extra money on a higher quality setup IMHO!
*shrug*

From my experiences, exhaust tips are often finicky in terms of alignment and uniformity on both sides regardless of the system. My LT1 edelbrock was easy and didn't need much adjustment. My WS6 LS1 magnaflow went on flawless, my buddies Camaro LT1 magnaflow took a lot of effort to eventually get even, one tip always seemed to hang lower than the other. My other friends Corsa on a G8 install went well, but we did spend a decent amount of time adjusting the tips for perfection purposes in the housing of the body.

From what I have seen "quality" is more in the materials rather than the construction of the piping. Your kit may have been bent or damaged in shipping, which I have seen, but I think general tweaking and shifting to get a perfect alignment is standard in all catback/axleback systems.

Wow, the magnaflow website lists the 16580 at $1,309. JDP sells them for half the price!? seems almost too good to be true

Rest assure it is true! We have a lot of folks here who have bought from them in the past. Not only are the guys at JDP up front, honest and great to deal with, their customer service and communication skills are top notch!

Many thanks to Caverman for turning me to these guys. I, in turn, passed along the info to a couple others. This is how great retailers get their business... word of mouth!

What about the Flowmaster V8 American Thunder (http://www.westcoastcamaro.com/p-390...n-thunder.aspx ) or the 2010 Camaro SS B&B Sport Exhaust System V8 (http://www.westcoastcamaro.com/p-355...system-v8.aspx) ? Both sound really good.

Cold Air Inductions Rocks! I assume that's the brand you are referring to... I love mine. Glad to see you found an exhaust.

Mainly because the thread title and first post stated I narrowed it down to two systems. The MagnaFlow 16580 and the Borla ATAK.

Feel free to post your suggestions though! No hate here!
