Wow......
.................wow............... *blushing* Some of you may have read one of my posts about a week ago........ ......and I said something along the lines of: "........and to think that a young skinny kid with braces and glasses from Mars, Pennsylvania........." I would never have guessed -- that day -- in September of 1966 when I saw the first Camaro delivered to our dealership -- ....that I'd get to work on the car of my dreams....... .......that I'd get to meet so many wonderful friends worldwide -- due, in fact, to a car called "Camaro"..... .........that I'd have to issue a press release that said the Camaro (and Firebird) were going on "hiatus" (...one of the toughest things I've ever had to face........) ......that I'd have a small part in the unveiling of a Camaro concept on January 9, 2006......... ........and that the 5th Gen would become a reality a few days after my 55th Birthday. (heck...I never thought I'd live to see 55!!!) (..and for the record? I still feel like I'm 26 -- I still act like I'm 18 -- but when I look in the mirror, I realize that many years have passed -- much faster than I'd have ever thought.....) How will I celebrate tonight? Well -- I WISH i were driving my SS/RS -- but it's in Detroit and I'm in Fort Lauderdale.... So I think I'll go have some "grape juice" with a couple of Friends who I've been so privileged to work with -- (Kevin, Terri, a few of my Product Specialists...) ---and I'll take stock of where I am this year - and anxiously look forward to where I may be next year -- Sorry for the rambling -- .......but I want each of you to know how VERY MUCH I appreciate your kind thoughts -- and how VERY MUCH I appreciate that you 'kept the faith' -- ........and how VERY MUCH I look forward to seeing you enjoy your new Camaros!
