After some research and verified with the guy who cut down the trees, those are ailanthus altissima. Looks a lot like sumac and also like ash. Ditto on the marijuana!

Welcome and stop by any time!

Here's tonight's update. Footers are poured. Block should be laid early next week.

Just checking in to see where we're at.....

Good to see the lamps are ordered. A MUST HAVE for
every garage.

I'll get with Darth Emma and decide on a color scheme. It's
going to be soooo much fun having 2 to do. We really should
start our own business. Maybe Mr Camaro69 could find us
some more informative vids on painting

Srsly, that's a beautiful spot!

I'm thinking Picasso... would go well with the leg lamp decor

... you like?

Well, perhaps some impressionistic work of Camaros would be more fitting, but this is ok too.

My wife sent me this picture. Apparently the block work is done. Waiting for the fill and the pad to be poured now. That probably won't happen until Wednesday I am guessing.

How thick is the concrete pad gonna be? Enough for a lift in the future I hope?
Either way, looks good.

10' x 48' upstairs. That should be enough room for the range right? And no more bays. An empty bay is just an excuse to buy another GM.

Leaves should be starting to change in September.

4" of 4000 psi concrete with rebar and fiber. Should be plenty for a lift. I am looking at the possibility of some sort of storage lift. I haven't done a lot of research, but thinking something like this.

Concrete was poured today. They have to come back tomorrow and cut relief lines and do the grading. Here is the picture that I just got. Building should start on Saturday.

You'll be fine with 4". I put 5-6 under mine in the area where the lift is just because I'm like that. I ended up buying my lift from somewhere else but I had talked to the guys at GS and they were great to deal with. I dont think you'll have any issues dealing with them.

Looking good so far and its never to early to start thinking about what kind of sealer or epoxy coating you are going to put on the floor before you move stuff into it.

That is good to know about the GS guys. I wasn't originally planning on a lift, but if I keep buying cars I might not have a choice! I want to keep my tractor inside so that is going to take up a bay. If I leave the attachment outside, I might be able to fit 3 vehicles on that side. We shall see.

I already bought the epoxy for the floor. I used the same kind in my attached garage and it seems to be holding up well. So I am just going with it in the detatched also. I can't wait.

I'd love to put some good epoxy on my floors but its just too much $$ for me to justify at this point. I ended up etching mine and putting down the cheap Kwik Crete brand.
