Great Lakes Dragaway
Anyone regularly race there? I'm thinking I'll head there this Friday or the following Tuesday. I have a converter to dial in.
If anyone has a bone-stock L99 who wants to try to run 12.99 holla I think I can help coach someone to run better than the 13.15 I did last year.

Wife just asked me to stay in Friday, she's got something she'd like to go to...
So I'm thinking next Tuesday. Stall brand? Not that one. Otherwise can't say it's for an article (along with other potential mods over the summer).

John, I won't be there next week but I will be there this summer and I hope to meet up with you sometime. I have an L99 which is not totally stock and my best time last year was a 12.89. I think there is some more in the car and with a few tips maybe I can get it out of it.

Sure it would be cool to meet up. If you have drag radials on there no reason you couldn't go 12.3 two of us locally have.
Planning on Tuesday right now.

I like racing at NLR (formerly US41). Have experienced really long waits at Byron so not worth the drive for me.

havent been to GLD in a few years. Normally end up at Byron.
Your name sounds familiar John - did you used to have a red single turbo WS6? That car made me drool even though it looked like a diesel going down the track |

Byron can be bad and even worse when it is amateur hour but I find saturdays with overcast skies normally lead to low turnout and all the laps you can have. Hopefully they put lights in and open up on friday nights other than once a year |

I'm always game for a couple passes at GLD. But Tuesday won't work for me.
My 5th gen is the only car I haven't run on that track yet.

I hear ya, I've raced everything I've owned except for my old 2002 Z06.
I like going weeknights at GLD because the lines are short and I can hotlap once in a while trying different little changes.
