Did you see the GT run at the mile... He has the same control system I do, just more set up... Like mine will be... All the popping burping and farting that people thought was a raggedy running car was the traction control doing what it needed to keep the rear tires from spinning, pulling boost, timing or whatever it needed... The driver puts his foot flat on the floor and shifts... No lift shifts... Stab it, steer and shift, then pull the chute.... Done... The traction control feature will allow every inth of acceleration the car can muster with the tires on it... Stickier tires, more speed...

If the intercooler is sitting directly above the air intake runners, wouldn't that heat up the air going into the motor a few degrees?

Rob,when pat is driving the gt he isnt just flat foot it to the floor on the throttle till about 3rd gear. car makes 1750 plus rwhp spinning on a mustang dyno. He still has to somewhat roll into it..

Also on the ford gt... most that are twins are running the hat on top of the stock intercooler.. That tends to work the best..plus they have no room for a air to air intercooler lol..

No interest in Vettes... I'll build hp to overcome the shortcomings in aero concerns, and the only Vette I would be interested is well over 100g's... Nope, I'll stick with the Camaro... So far, our hidden aero stuff is working pretty well... We'll see how it progresses... I know I'm better off than a vert, and it's gone 217...

The black box on the front right is the coolant for the intake, its a liquid to air system, the coolant flows from the black tank into the intake through the stainless hard lines you see on the intake near the throttle body, their are also lines at the rear of the intake, it flows through an inter cooler inside the intake (think about a Whipple or Maggie blowers intercooler) it then flows out the opposite side of the intake, it then flows through a huge heat exchanger in the grill (think radiator) to cool the fluid before it circles back through the system. Like Robert said, we also have an ice tank inside the spare tire well with another heat exchanger inside of it, with the flick of a hidden switch in the console it sends ice cold water through the entire system dropping intake temps down about 200 degrees, the cold water easily lasts through staging & a 1 mile run. The black box on the left is where we moved the fuse box, did it to balance out of the engine bay & clean up all the clutter. Why? Because Racecar/Showcar!

I am seriously considering an ice tank for track days. Whipple gets damn hot during even 1/4 mile runs. No bueno.
