LS7 Engine Build option
Will we have the option to build our own engine for the Z/28? I'm still torn between the ZL1 and the new Z/28, but the option to build my own engine might be too much to pass up. What do you think?

Did they even do that in the 60's? They do it currently, just not something they've announced for the z/28 yet. It is an option on the zr1 and z06.

Yeah I doubt that was an option in the 60's, but the Corvette program for the LS7 and LS9 always looked really cool to me.

I doubt they put the ls7 in the z/28.
If they did though, I may be trading in the ZL1 for a Z28. The forged internals will be a perfect platform to upgrade. |

The LS7 is already confirmed for the Z/28.

The Customer Engine Build option for LS7/LS9 for Corvette is a $5,000+ option...

Anyone dropping $100,000 on a new Z/28 can afford both the $5,000 engine build option and the travel expenses and time away from business to do it.

You can also do it with the corvette grand sport if you choose a manual transmission, because the hand built ls3 that it comes with is built in the same plant as the ls7 and ls9!
