This is the evolution from CAI in Black to CAI in Black with Eforce (and a few other upgrades).

The CAI in Black was the very first upgrade I performed on the car. Little did I know how quickly that first purchase from Apex Chase would lead down the path of modification addiction . Be warned, venturing down this path will lead to reduction of your bank account, a constant twitch of your right foot and perpetual Perm-a-grin - but it is cheaper than therapy:

Can you give some tips on how you moved it? I will be getting my 2013 soon.

Our CAI has a small notch that the cable can run through for the applicable 2013 models. You can pm me if you have any specific questions.

I was thinking about getting a used CAI. When did you guys add the "small notch"?

It was put into production recently, probably about a month weeks ago or so. If it does not have the notch you can easily create one yourself with a simple cuting tool. Or just buy a new one and your good to go and don't have to deal with it. Let me know if you have any questions!

Could you guys send me a template to use when cutting. If not, would the pre-notch system work without cutting?

I am sorry but we do not have a template for you, on our end the notch is cut on a CNC machine while the box is still in the form of a flat sheet of aluminum. When you go to install the box you could see where the cable is hitting it, mark it off, and then just cut it out. It's a small notch and should be pretty straight forward and simple to do.

Is the notch right after the mounting bracket ? Is it lined with rubber or just the bare metal? Thanks

And in my 2013 SS, nothing was in the way, or running through the notch. No idea why, but I looked, and nothing is being pinched down low...

Are you saying on your 2013 2SS you don't have the neg battery cable extention tied by a zip-tie thing on the air box mounting stud?
