Need some serious tech help!
So my laptop was in a bag in my trunk all day Monday while temps were in the 20s. It boots up fine but the picture on the screen is mirrored. Its like the LCD reversed itself.
I'm screwed aren't I?

You will get a faster and more detailed response on a tech forum.

I understand but figured someone here out of the thousands of members might know something. I've gotten zero help on any forum.

Did I still do that after it warmed up to room temperature? You might try connecting it to an external monitor to see if it is the screen or something in the laptop. You might also try to shut it down, unplug it, and remove the battery for several minutes to see if that will reset it. Finally I would also check the manufacturer's support web site and forums to see if they have any suggestions, although it sounds like you may have already tried this.
Good luck! |

When you say mirrored you mean the text is backwards, or that the start button is on the wrong side of the screen?

Im going to guess that the liquid in the LCD screen of you laptop froze and messed up the screen for good. Had this happen to a LCD TV we have in our cabin that doesn't have year round heat and the manual says not to store in temps below 30 degrees. But this is just my guess u can try googling the answer or a tech places as well. I am also sure your not the only person to have this happen so the answer is out im sure.

on most laptops there is a Alt+F? function key you can hit to rotate the screen may be that simple.

LCD is working, so it's more likely condensation at the graphics board or in the graphic to monitor ribbon. The ribbon is easily corrupted and shorted by liquid (condensation)
Just my best guess.
