Pfadt Race Engineering takes delivery of their Summit White ZL1!
And it's about time!
We've all been on the edge of our seats waiting for our newest member of the Pfadt Race Engineering fleet to be delivered, and yesterday was the day! Needless to say we were all really excited to take our turns babying the car around the block. It sure was hard not to really open it up and see what she could do at wide open throttle, but we were able to get some initial impressions after a quick spin in our own car. 1. It's extremely drivable! GM did a pretty good job at making everything light and docile enough to comfortably drive in traffic without any issues at all. 2. The Mag Ride Suspension is a definite improvement over any of the factory GM suspension packages. Although there are already plans for parts in the works on what to modify first. 3. This car sure does look fantastic... and it sure does grab everyone's attention, even just cruising down the street. 4. The backup camera in the rear view mirror is just cool. There sure is a lot to love about this car. That being said, there are still some definite areas for improvement. Now is where our fun begins! We've got some really interesting plans which may not be limited just to suspension mods, so be sure to stay tuned for the ZL1 developments coming from your friendly neighborhood performance engineers! Here are some quick photos we took last night... the Summit White sure does look great with the Carbon Fiber accents and black wheels! We sure are going to have a lot of fun with this car! |

It is so good the hear the emotional connections this car emotes from people! Amazing! It's an honor to own one for sure! Can't wait to hear what you do to it.

Thanks Guys! We've already got some ideas cooking on what we are going to do first. There are some really great parts in the works in our engineering department, so be sure to stay tuned!

Without hard data it's tough to quantify. Seat of the pants says no, but the ZL1 really isn't broken in quite yet. Suspension wise it's very comfortable, but the steering is a bit numb and even in sport mode feels a bit soft. We will continue to post our thoughts as we have more time with the car.
