HELP: SES Code P0480 - Can I drive it?
2001 Z28 Automatic
The code has something to do with a cooling fan, I think the primary one. I'm bringing it in to the dealer for service after the Fest but my Brother-In-Law wants to use it for a couple days. Should I let him or should it get fixed first?

Error code P0480 for the 2001 Chevrolet Camaro running the 5.7L V8 states that there has been an improper voltage level detected on the low speed cooling fan relay control circuit.
That being said, its only a low speed cooling fan problem, Bad news... your engine fans may only operate during higher temperatures meaning that the engine will be held at higher than normal temperatures. (As with any DTC) i would suggest you check this out as it could just be a bad relay, as far as letting your brother and law drive it thats strictly up to you. |
