Picked up my new '79 Camaro when I got back from a tour in Germany before heading to Fort Hood. In this picture the car is missing a wheel ring on the rear left tire which was a common problem for me. Also had to continually replace the wheel hubs which also popped off all the time.

Thanks, I thought it would be cool to see everyone's first Camaro that wasn't a 5th Gen. What gave me the idea was my brother was scanning in some old pictures my mom had from years ago and ran across those two of mine. They were taken the day I got the car. I traded in my 71 Vega Hatchback I got for Graduation from High school. They gave me $500 less than I paid for the Vega when I bought it new in 71. I just couldn't pass up that deal.

2002 SS
Had been sitting in a barn for 3 years, lady who bought it passed away. The husband and 2 little girls did not want to sell mommys car so they kept it for a while, but eventually wanted to sell it. The first time I went to detail it, there was still makeup marks on the AC knobs :( made me feel bad for the family. Car was so straight and clean and low mileage (in the 20K region). I had the best luck with it, and it ran really hard, like a factory freak. I always thought Joanna (the woman) was watching over the car and me, like a guardian angel of some sort. Really miss that car... RIP Joanna RIP Camaro

Here is my 1973 Z28 which I bought brand new with no stripes or spoilers, I added them 2 weeks after I took delivery. It had a 4 speed with a Hurst Super Shifter, headers, 4.56 gears with an extra capacity finned aluminum rear cover, Lakewood traction bars and S/S chrome wheels. Oh, and an 8 track player. Notice the custom paint on the front spoiler
