Went the the strip - first time in 11s

Nothing spectacular or record breaking, but a new record for me. M6 1LE with full exhaust and E85.

Nice run! What was your 60 ft? Sounds like you no lift shifted 2-3 and 3-4.

Thanks! Only a 1.8 60 foot. It seems like it has more in it... but I'm still new to drag packs. And yes you're 100% right on the shifts. I didn't NLS 1-2 as I've been having issues with that shift when trying to NLS. Idk if I just suck but it's happened a few times where it seems it just completely blocks me from 2nd gear... so took it a tad slower shifting 1-2.

Something to be aware of when drag racing an M6 version of the 6.2 v8 on DRs, they can have a well-known bog issue, which is caused by a torque limit setting in the computer. Might want to ask your tuner whether he has already adjusted this table for you, check out the following thread for more info: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=603315

Yeah it's for sure tougher to get a good launch with M6 vs Auto.
My A10 was doing some weird bogging down also. Not sure what to think of that. If you get your launch down and shift a little quicker I think you'll lower that time a couple tenths or so.

seemed like a pretty clean pass, gotta start somewhere.

what launch rpm & tire pressure? i think that will affect your 60' the most. those 2 items are 100% subjective and will vary based on surface. i want to say i was around 52-5300 which still bogged it's way to 1.6-1.7 short times.

next time you go, don't worry about the green light. take your time getting the rpm where you want it and preparing yourself for the 1-2 shift. the timer doesn't start until you move and the reaction time has no bearing on et.

A good pass for sure. So you are on a full drag pack, a tune I would imagine since you are on E85. The trap speed shows that. Try more rpm at the launch next time and slip the clutch a little more to get around that bog which sounds like you dead hooked and no spin out of the chute. BTW, post a picture of the time slip if you get a chance.

Yeah I def gotta work on that 1-2. Idk why I can't NLS 1-2, but I honestly didn't even try since I didn't want to risk spoiling the run. I will try it next time see if it keeps happening.

To be honest not certain on launch RPM on that pass. I would guess 3-4k range. Whatever it was it was too low. Pressure was right around 22 lbs. I started with that and was gonna drop it, but I wasn't spinning so I left it. And yeah for sure I gotta take my time more and focus on a specific RPM launch. Next time I'll try much higher.

Yes car is tuned. Thanks for the tips will for sure try higher RPM next time. Slip attached.

Thank you for posting the slip, any idea what the temps were that day? or what the DA was? Are you running in high elevation?

Looks like it was ~70*, it was pretty nice out. Not sure of the DA, the Dragtimes DA calc is the only way I know to look that up and it doesn't seem to work anymore. I would guess it was pretty ideal DA. The runs were at Great Lakes Dragaway in Wisconsin, which I think is like ~600 feet above sea level.

I ran into the same issue as you, I used dragtimes for years. But now I use this one. Report back bro

My thoughts are regarding your trap speed and your posted tuned horsepower and torque. Your trap speed is on the low side for your rear wheel horsepower and DA affects that. Have you done any weight reduction ?

No weight reduction of any sort besides the drag pack if you count that. DA was 2200.

A drag pack should be knocking off around 50lbs and how much fuel in the tank?. 2200 DA will lower your power which lowers your trap speed. Its good that the online density site will provide you with the DA on previous days, never knew that.
