Continental extreme tires
Does anyone have these on the 1LE? For some odd reason my rear tires are losing rubber. I have been thinking about getting these instead of the MPSS again. The tread life seems better with continental??

My dad's neighbour in Michigan works for Continental and they all run ExtremeContact DW tires on their Corvettes. I got a pair for my V6 Camaro and they are nice tires for street use. Can't speak for track or strip use. Definitely have lasted a hell of lot longer then the P-Zero's that it came with.

I'm happy with my MPSS AS3's, but I only have maybe 200 miles on them.

Just FYI, Goodyear is running a sale on the all their Eagle performance tires including the stock 1LE tires. Its on until May 24 where we are, and it saves about $200. I know we do not have the temperature considerations that some of you do, but thought it was worth mentioning. I am on slicks basically at this point, and have no track days, but will be very close to 40 K when the third set of these tires are put on in a little over a week.

I'm a big fan of the DWS06's by Continental for my cold weather set. Soft sidewalls are the worst I can say about them, but given I use them as cold weather tires, I'm not really getting on them in the corners.
Haven't any experience with DW's, but, from my experience with their all seasons, they are on the short list for my warm weather set up, which I'll get around to doing something about just as soon as I close on this house I'm buying, move in, put a fence up... yeah, probably just in time to put the cold weather set back on. |

I had Conti extreme-contact DWSs on my Camaro SS. They were the best all-seasons I have had. I think I got 30,000+ out of them

We have the Conti Extreme DW on our 1LE on a different wheel. Issues are non existant other than they do not come in our stock sizes. We run a 275/35 square on 20x10 wheels. Have had them on road courses, autocross on them and in the rain they have been perfect. Not a cold weather tire, but a damn good tire for the money.

I daily drive these on my C6 ZO6 with 559 rwhp and can't say enough about them!!! Cold traction is awesome,no wheel hop.they don't pick up every stone and throw them up at your car, great wet traction and are super quiet ....Only down side to these is they get flat spots ever night but after a couple miles they are good again. Don't plan on taking them to the track because you will be disappointed. I got these because there were no PSS's available when I wore my old set out and the price was crazy. When these wear out I will buy them again but I still run Michelin's on another set is wheels at the track...
