MTI Racing Installed STS Turbo - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hello all I'm new to the forums. I contacted MTI Racing about a month ago see if they could do anything for my v6 Camaro, Kevin at MTI Racing said yes we can install a STS turbo, they seemed very excited about doing it. They said my car would be the 1st v6 camaro. So I ordered the turbo, had to put 3.5k down to get the ball moving.

It took the car to MTI Racing on the 3 of August, they give me a tour of the place, all I can say is WOW. The turbo guy(Stephen) was looking forward to doing the install and testing.

hopefully they will get the tune Monday the 16th August and get it dyno.

Very cool. Z Madness (on this forum) also has the STS kit, and AAC did a show car with the same kit but that car has seemed to have gone missing. You're definitely one of the first. Looking forward to hearing your impressions and seeing the dyno results.

Is there a track near you where you can take it? I'd LOVE to see your 1/4 mile time.

How much for the kit and install?

Around 8k give or take. I have some post in Z's Thread but stated this one... not to take anything from Z.

Auto or Manual?

Jim, did you do anything else/upgrade? Or is this the base kit? Also, what gauges did you go with? I just want to be able to compare notes. I am just about done with the Meth Kit so hopefully I will get it on the dyno and see how it runs at different boost levels. Thanks. Z

On a somewhat un-related note, I just received my new Corsa cat-back yesterday, hehe. Sometimes I really wish this was my playtoy rather than my DD (but then I remember how heavy it is.

On a somewhat un-related note, I just received my new Corsa cat-back yesterday, hehe. Sometimes I really wish this was my playtoy rather than my DD (but then I remember how heavy it is.
