chrome valve covers

So for those of you that don't know my cousin is a co-owner of All Things Chrome here in tn and runs the site www.camarochrome.com. During a conversation the other day he mentioned that they had finished developing some chrome valve covers for the LSA and will be selling them for $750 a set but I can get them at cost ($300) and Im considering getting them, opinions?

Cool! Very nice accessories all around!

Do any pictures exist of an LSA with the chrome valve covers? I'm curious how visible they are...

Just about anything you can do to enhance the LSA looks is an improvement IMO. Let's face it, the engine bay is pretty ordinary looking. Although the red supercharger cover sort of "dresses" the engine up, I intend to go way beyond that to spruce the engine bay.

I don't think I am going to go chrome on this car. Think I am goin carbon fiber or powerder coat. I would be cool to have valve covers where the Zl1 logo popped but having the entire valve cover shinny just is upkeep.

My main reasoning is in the past with my older hotrods I would bling out the engine compartment then it was just pain to keep it up.

Then again I just an engine in a 39 chevy that was endurashine and chrome everywhere for a guy. Same issue you just breath on it wrong at it shows dirt.

I am 99% positive the red LSA cover is going away though. Ethier for the more naked look or a carbon fiber cover.

All good points to take into consideration. The powdercoat route would give some pop without showing near as much dirt.

I should have married a women who was more into cleaning engines and less into ****blocking.

then I could just go nuts on the engine bay.

so that link would not work when I was at work video. your talking about the chrome engine covers arn't you. when I was thinking valve covers I though you meant valve covers on the head hard to clean under the coilpacks and stuff.

those would not be too bad to keep up since they are fairly flat. If it were me I would do painted with the Zl1 logo in chrome or raw machined though. I am liking the more subtle look lately.

then again on my last chevelle is was bling everthing and kind of ruined me on that look for a wile. I think like a two tone color scheme with a bit bling would do the trick.

Probably would look good but man that is one huge markup on a $300 item.

Well they produce the part 300 is what it cost to make its nothing compared to the mark up name brand manufacturers place on products

I agree...why would you mention the price you pay and the price he going to charge people on a public forum!? You are going to kill his profit :( Was it really necessary to mention the price?

I have bought A LOT from your cousin. My only issue with them was the girl that answered the phone-NOT customer service friendly at all. However their products are good, and if they have them in stock it's even better. They have more unique things, and that is what stands out.

AS for the ZL1-STOCK mine shall remain THAT is a real challenge
