Vibration and humming sound normal ? After xpipe & GMPP exhaust install

I have a 2013 2LS.
I just had a shop install a magnaflow xpipe and GM performance exaust.
When the car is in idle it sounds great. When you hit the accelerator, you get some pretty loud vibration/humming noise, to the point where your ears feel muffled. Maybe I'm just not used to it.
From inside the car, it sounds like a Honda after someone adds a performance exaust. Kind of obnoxious. Maybe there's an opening near the weld points.
The only engine performance upgrade part I have is a K&N CAI Typhoon.

Going to take it back to the shop that installed it just to be sure the pipes are not making contact with the frame.
Any other ideas to what may be causing this ?

You have a GMPP catback or just the mufflers/axelback? I have to ask, why add the Magnaflow x pipe, when the GMPP exhaust catback comes with one? That's the exhaust I have and love, with no drone.

Just the axelback. I still have the factory pipes, with the 4 cat converters near the engine.
It's the GMPP axelbacks. Rebadged borlas. I'm
A noob, it's only the chrome parts with the GM Performance badging and embossed Chevy logo on the tips.
So that's the term for the humming noise ?
Droning ?
That's what it sounds like inside. Maybe the xpipe is a bit much ?

I have the Borla version of the GMPP exhaust in a catback. There isn't any drone with it. It sounds like something came loose and is touching. There shouldn't be a rattling, the seat might vibrate little more, nothing to excessive, like a seat messager on low. Did you think this combo up? The Magnaflow Resonated Xpipe "Reduces" Drone, it doesn't cause it. I'll tell ya, you can get the catback pipes for the GMPP to add to your system for $400 on Amazon.com.

Sorry for the photo quality. That's what I have.
The last photo shows the xpipe I have.
All I know, is that the droning is bad. It sounds like a rice burner.
Monday I'll be taking it back to the shop, so they can find out what it is.

When I got my mrt v1's they didn't clamp one side right. It vibrated and rattled so much it was sickining.

These were welded on. No clamps used.

You got the regular Magnaflow x pipe. The V6 from what I've heard and been told sound best with the Magnaflow Resonated X pipe.

Yep Resonated X-pipe is what you needed. Not a basic X-pipe. Its a whole different godlike experience.

Yep sounds like you got the DREADED DRONE issue, The V6 exhaust upgrade requires the Magnaflow Resonated X Pipe not just and X Pipe.

If I'm not missinformed the L99 is in this catagory also. You got to run a Resonator
LS3 with straight pipe and H pipe just sounds bad A$$.

Thanks for all the responses. Starting to learn more on what is what.
A resonator is different from a cat converter ?
The 4 small stock cat converters are still there.

Since it's pretty annoying driving the car as is.
If they don't carry resonated xpipes, should I just go back to the stock pipes that were there before?
Thanks again.

Picked up a Magnaflow resonated x-pipe.
Installing it tomorrow. I will let you know the outcome.
And I will be selling the current x-pipe that I have now.

I originally installed the MRT V1. And it was quite loud inside the car. To the point of making my ears ring with the drone.

Got the Res X Pipe ... dumbed it down quite a bit. Still a little drone, but no where near as bad.

The factory resonators are behind the x-pipe, or behind where the h-pipe was. You have the cats, h-pipe (or x), then the factory resonators, then your axle back system.

I'm still considering removing the factory resonators. Not sure what the outcome will be though.
