NEW top Installed seems to be good!

I picked up my car from the dealer this morning and the install looks great IMO. They sent it out to a local convertible top shop and replaced the old top that had rub marks and a small amount of fabric fraying with a new "retro fit" version. The part number is 22985764 "Cover Kit". The new top has additional cords that attach to the framework to pull the fabric in when it closes. (see 3rd and 4th pictures)

I will have to wait to see if there are any leaks but the rub problem on the rear trunk molding should be solved.

Dealer said they wouldn't retint the back window, which is not cool. I will have to make a few phone calls. But overall the dealer has been on my side since the beginning and helped me along the way as this has been an issue for a while.

Looks like that little rubber piece on the weather strip in the corner in the little side back window is not right.

Looks good!

Ok now the junction of the side rear windows with the body trim and silicone/rubber stopper. I want to see if they installed the new trim pieces.

I *think* that looks o.k. Mine looks like that as well and my top is original.

I just had my 5th roof installed (4th replacement), and so far this one looks the best. Time will tell, but i've cycled it 3x already and no marks whatsoever.

On that little rubber peice at the back window I straighten that up as I put mt top back up,,,, they tend to stick and could bea potential leak
Not a huge deal for me
Looks good though especially the rubber seal at the back it is seated correctly

theyre sending my car back to the top shop because the water management bags are "coming out of position", and that's whats making it leak onto the rear driver's side floorboard.

Supposedly the top shop is just gonna take the top off, then "reposition/reinstall" the water bags.

I had it out in a rainstorm and also washed it the other day and no leaks detected. I hope it continues.

My dealer said that it was the first top they had sent out for replacement, however, I am sure that the top place has done more than a few.

Request a two year component coverage letter and don't take no for an answer. I had my top replaced and thanks to all the information I found online I requested and got one. Additional warranty and piece of mind!
