2016 USAA $750 discount

So does anyone know what happened?

I haven't checked in a while and really should have because I just bought a Silverado last month, but it looks like this long standing discount is no more...

I'll be honest, good f'n riddance.

The 6 dealerships I talked to in Texas about using the discount all raised the price $1,000 after I told them I was a Veteran.

Maybe you shouldn't tell them that... whip out the USAA discount when you get to the finance office AFTER all the numbers are done.

This discount comes from GM and is no sweat off their backs.

That is what I tried. Classic Grapevine, Monday, Lone Star, Parkway all informed me of some mythical MSRP they were contractually bound by to use (vs. cash invoice). It might have all been bs at the time, idunno, was before I became a pricing gurus.

I got a new Silverado last year. Used the USAA discount on the purchase. Dealer was in such a hurry to get the deal done he didn't realize the offer was expired.

Ha Ha... nice.

I just bought a new Silverado last month and TOTALLY forgot to check the USAA discount so sort of glad it's not there because I would be kicking myself for that one.

Now they can bring it back..
