Well, my Camaro is my DD. So I don't want to blow anything up.
Yup its definitely a fun competition! Mine is a DD as well, and on stock tune, so we gotta take care of our babies... but make them fast as we can at the same time!!! lol

I just need to find time to get to the track... hoping next time I go it will be in the 12's. I have thought about bumping mine up to a 125 shot, but the kit I have says 100 is the limit. Maybe a new setup is in the future. I would also like to get mine dyno tuned at some point as well. Something just seems off, seems way too rich to me.

These cars like to run leaner than port injected engines, too rich loses a lot of power. They also need a lot of timing added down low, most tuners only touch 4000+ RPM's, but getting out of the hole is more important. I added 20-10 degrees of timing down low to help me.

What is Circle D building for converters? Do they only offer one?

Same offers as the 6L80, single or triple disk, and any stall speed you want.

Still trying to figure everything out through all the threads I've read over the last week... But I'm going to try a circle d 245mm triple disk 3000rpm stall converter, 3.55 gear (with what I think I can put an apparently optional GM lsd in... Unless I'm reading all these threads wrong...) Weld RTS S76 17x5 fronts, Weld RTS S76 17x9 rears, 28" front skinnies, 28" M&H dr's rear and see how deep in the 13's I can get.

Weather permitting, i hope to go to the track Sunday 10/18, but will only be running a 50shot. Still to warm here, so i thought i would start off the season light and try for a high 12 only on a 50 shot. I am still a month away from cool weather.

Friday is probably the last time I will go to the track this year, next year though it gets serious, upping my game even more.

Also, a 3000 stall won't help much Twin Town Terror, you need a converter that will stall a few hundred RPM'S below where torque is really made. A 4000+ would work better. Contact Chris@CircleD, they will build it specific to your mods. Best bang for buck though.

The converter I mentioned is the one he recommended...

That is a little odd since I have 3.91's and I was going for a 3600 at first but was steered to a 4000. Even my wife's bolt-on Mustang V6 has a 4000 and the 3.7L makes more torque down low than the 3.6.

New personal best today will get tickets posted. 13.70 & 13.74 N/A bolt-on list. It should just squeek me into the 10 spot and I think the first LFX in the bolt-on list.
