Camaro rs 2010 v6 long tube headers

Hi, I own Camaro 2010 rs v6. I replaced the final silencers on Magnaflow bullets and mounted the x-pipe. I would like to get a better sound yet. I wonder about the long tube headers, is there a difference between bbk, obx or ebay collectors for $ 180 will work the same?

I wish the LFX could have headers. Makes me wonder if the exhaust ports in the heads can be ported out to give better flow like a header would.

The cost would not be worth any benefit. You'd have to pull the heads off and have them sent off to Extrude Hone. For that reason alone, the LFX and every other single port engine is junk in my book.

ive seen some LFX cars that move and that are in the high 400+rwhp range . i wouldnt say they're junk. they're far more advanced than the LS3.

they dont make much in performance parts other and its just more difficult to find someone that works on them for that same reason.

If the resonated X-Pipe doesn't do enough, you probably J-pipes (aka Helmholtz resonators), for which you will need to calculate the length you will need unique to your car. There are several good forum posts here to follow.

Magnaflow bullet mufflers are super drony in my experience. Try magnaflow mufflers if you want to keep the sound down.

Edit: Your car also sounds higher pitched than mine, but there's multiple factors to that. Do you have a regular X pipe, or an X muffler in the center? 11386 x muffler specifically

I usually have X in place of H. Auto sounds good after 2.500, earlier there is a buzz. I wonder if when mounts long tube headers, CAI can be improved?

Try the Magnaflow 11386 in place of that regular X. You maintain an x but it'll get the drone and rasp under control. And it'll sound a little deeper.

First, install long tube headers, see what will change. I wonder if Magnaflow bullets will give as a central silencer. To buy some sensible final muffler. I wonder what the effect will be?

Adding long tubes will make it wicked loud and raspy.
