CarPlay

Question for my Camaro drivers with iPhones.
Have any of you looked into CarPlay?
I like the ideal of controling my phone while
In the car. I'm looking at this alpine that's made just for CarPlay.
I just don't know how the alpine unit will look or
How it would be look in the car.

I bought and installed a Pioneer AVIC 5000NEX in my H2 that has CarPlay . I must say as it is now I am a little disappointed. Basicly you are using Siri to make your calls or start iTunes, Maps or whatever. You cannot access hardly any of your apps through it. Supposedly more apps will become compatable but until then I wouldnt buy a radio specifically for CarPlay. You must plug the phone into the radio via a lightning cable so whats the point. I can stream iTunes and Pandora via Bluetooth on the same radio. Push the telephone icon and use Siri to make calls. The radio also has GPS so no need to use the iPhone although I like the iPhones GPS better. While mine is the base model would not spend the money on a higher model just for CarPlay. The support is not there yet.

For Chevrolet, it looks like CarPlay debuts on the 2016 Volt... So the 6th Gen Camaro should be a likely candidate!
