Smile Low, vibrating drone

Hi everyone, I recently purchased a 2013 2SS with 13k miles on it, previous owner installed magnaflow cat back exhaust and a cold air inductions intake. Anyways, I've noticed that while I'm accelerating, everything sounds normal until I keep my foot down at a steady position, normally between 1k-2k RPMs, the engine goes into a ridiculously deep drone that vibrates the whole car. If I competely let off the gas while in this "drone", the car continues to accelerate for about half a second after my foot is off the gas. Right when I start accelerating a little harder, it pops out of the drone and sounds normal. By the way I've ran 93 octane since I purchased the car. Is this normal for camaros? Do I need a fuss pull? Or it could it be something worse? Thanks

Are you sure this isnt just drone from the after market exaust system? you can usually hear it at cruising speeds on the highway. And youre saying your car still pulls after you take your foot off the gas pedal? Thats definitely not good!

Maybe post video?

I know precisely what you're talking about. Drone is a common issue with aftermarket systems.

You have a few options to consider. The first is adding J pipes on to the existing aftermarket exhaust. There is a thread on this somewhere on the forum and I believe a DIY if you have a welder and cutting torch.

You can put the stock exhaust back on.

You can buy an aftermarket exhaust that already has a J pipe system.

^^^ Get the Solo Axle Backs with J-pipes and your drone will be pretty much gone.
No way would I ever go back to stock exhaust on my L99.
