Does anyone know if the new camaro will be a 2009 or a 2010??

I have a 69 right now and really wanted a 2009 to go along with it. If it winds up being a 2010, it looses a lot of appeal for me

It should be at dealers in the 1st quarter of 2009, but as a 2010 model.

Does the model year designation REALLY have that much of an influence on your purchase?

It actually does for me. The appeal of having two that were 40 years apart model year wise was a big deal.

Also, my 69 is yellow with black stripes, so I wanted my new one to have a similar paint scheme. But, if there are going to be a ton of the transformer copies, I don't want one. I don't mind having the same car as everyone else as long as its not a flashy one like that.

When you go to sell it, you will be happy that it is one year newer. Also, European models start their year in September. So it is not bad to start the 2010 in 2009. Let them call it a 2011 as long as it comes out in early '09.

GM already stated they will be called 2010 year models sold in 2009. Simple as that.
