as far as the fuel system goes, I decided to go with a belt drive. I don't want to deal with multiple pumps anymore especially at this power level. went with an aeromotive 17241. the mandrel will fit an ati balancer from all the research I've done on the setup... I will most likely be going with a 20 gallon cell instead of the 8.

made another trip over to the shop today. took him over some more parts and discussed some more stuff. the mandrel for the fuel pump drive needed turned down to fit inside the ls damper hub. bolts lined right up though. so much more room since the cowl was cut out. can reach the trans bolts from up top.

he also had a few other minor things done. he made a trans crossmember for the powerglide. driveline angle looked good. cage is finished(minus the swingouts). I took him over a 16 gallon fuel cell, instead of the 8. he got the truck manifolds cut down, ready for the v bands to be welded on.

looking for an intercooler core. most likely going to be an agp race core. with the ends cut off and made to 3.5 or 4 inch. I've been really happy with his work. it might be taking him a while but it looks great. highly recommend this shop!

ended up purchasing an AGP race intercooler, Nick williams 92mm cable throttle body, dg racing development cable bracket, and a Lokar throttle cable. having it all shipped to the shop so he can finish up and make a bracket for the pedal to convert to dbc. reason for switching is ms3 pro doesn't support a dbw throttle body yet. should be one of the only dbc 5th gen out there with the exception of the copos

ordered him 10 black anodized dzus fasteners for the front bumper cover, and a moroso breather tank with dual 12an fittings. gonna have him weld in the 12an bungs to the front of the valve cover and open vent the tank eliminating the pcv system all together. still waiting on the agp core to show up. shouldn't be much longer until I'm picking the car up and I can order the solid axle setup.

another thing I've decided to do is delete the abs system all together and redo all the brake lines in 3an ptfe lines. I'll also be getting a set of drag front brakes to run a 15 inch wheel and a set of afco big gun coilovers for the fronts. still debating on spring rate, might wait until I get it back so I can scale it.

he's scheduled to get the agp core tomorrow then next week he will start building the piping. in the time he's been waiting on the core he has finished everything else. I'm anticipating picking the car up no later than March.

on a side note, I decided to treat myself to a tire mounter and balancer. I ordered the Atlas 229 and wb11 from greg smith equipment. I hate paying people to mount and balance tires. it'll be a nice addition to the garage. still on the list is a 4 post to beside my 2 post.

I'll be ordering the rear setup by the end of March as well. got a nice bonus from work that covers a hefty chunk of it. I decided that I'll be getting the 40 spline axles and using a spool. I'd rather not worry about breaking things. will post more pics as they come in.

first is pic of the Atlas 229(don't mind the shop dog licking the crate lmao) second is the swingouts on the cage.

got the turbo setup all tacked up. looking killer! just gotta fab the downpipe now. fuel pump can be seen squeezed in there as well. ended up with 3 inch hotside piping and 3.5 cold side. can't wait to see what else he does with it!
