Nice to have an insider to talk to! Will it give you away if you tell what you do there?

Mole,
Thanks for taking the time to share your insight with us. Please excuse this suggestion in case you already know all of this... As an owner of 1st generation Camaros, one of the most fun things to do is interact with someone who worked on the production line in 1969. They provide so much insight into why things were done a certain way, little idiosyncrasies, etc. There is no doubt that this new car will be as collectible, if not more collectible than the 1st gens. So, take lots of notes, take pictures (to the extent you are allowed), document funny stories. Thanks again! |

Mole,
I would also like to thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. I have a few questions of my own, and if you cannot answer them completely I understand: I know you can't say what you do, but is your task a very repetitive one? How does your day go by when you install the same part all day or stamp the same fender all day? When the car gets to your station on the line, are the electronics wired up and working yet? If so, have you had a chance to play with the DIC and other computer functions? If so, what are your thoughts about it? I have to say, from the pictures we've seen from the first day or two of the line in full operation, my favorite part is when the body assembly and the chassis assembly come together as one, from two sepparate but near complete units. Are they running on sepparate and parellel lines untill that point? I know there are no tours available, but nonetheless I could spend all day watching those cars come together! You have a truly envious job |

Thanks for all of the inside info. Since I haven't ordered one yet the sooner you pump out the 14,000 preorders the sooner you can build me one.

Hey mole. I am just wondering if you hear through the grape vine which cars are headed where when they leave? Do you know how many are staying in Canada and how many are headed off to US dealers? Just wanting to know if us canadians have to wait longer for our cars or not.

Actually yes, when students were in there was quite a few. My fav was the hot ones with big hooters who wear a thin white tank top and no bra. 8 hours inside a very hot plant, use your imagination!!!

I hope there is no direct correlation between the quality of your work and the number of sweaty chicks in your line one lowers while the other increases? lol
