Could GM have used a high temp threadlocker? I plan on installing headers in the spring and would like to know what is the best product to use? Threadlocker or anti-seize.
Antiseize. There is a high temp thread locker but your issue is dissimilar metals not the bolt backing out. Torque it to spec, drive it for a couple heat cycles, torque it to spec. Or you can buy locking bolts but still cover them with antiseize.
