Is it possible to blow engine on M/T with V8 ??

Does the Camaro has some type of regulator which prevents you from going over 6000rpm or can you blow the engine by going above?

The regulator is called your foot. Keep your foot off that skinny pedal on the right, and you won't have to worry about blowing the engine.

Btw, the rev limiter won't keep you from blowing the engine if you do something dumb.

No need to look into it. It's already on the car.

You already have a rev limiter. If you push your foot all the way to the floor, the rev limiter will keep it from over revving - even in neutral.

You have to be careful on down shifts, though. If you down shift into a gear that would be over the engine's red line at your speed, and then let out the clutch, the car's momentum would easily over rev the engine. Damage from doing this would probably not be covered by your warranty.

Money shift, I highly do not recommend shifting while taking a high G right turn.

The rev limiter cuts off fuel when you rev past redline (which is around 6600 rpm I think).

The only way to over-rev and blow the engine is by downshifting at high rpms...

Or over-revving the valvetrain, which can happen to any vehicle when it's bouncing off the rev limiter. A dropped valve can get messy fast.

You will know it when you hit the rev limiter..not recommended, but if you do... the car will basically nose dive and flutter... then you need to change gears, mash the clutch or abort the whole damn mission...

Anything is possible , if you really want .

Bring the animal to lets say 80 mph in sixth gear , punch the clutch shift down to 1 gear , hold the wheel and hope for the best , then tell all of us if you made your dream come to live [ death ] for the LS3 .

On which engine?

EDIT: Nevermind it's an LS1.... Wait, don't you mean LS3?

And I'm finding that a bit hard to believe...
