Z/28 Nurburgring laptime.
I think that that the Z/28 will be faster than the CTS-V Coupe by a second or two. I have seen videos of many cars doing laps there and this lap was different. Every car looks fast running alone. But this was the only time I saw a car run of the track and into the grass. And there were a couple of turns that weren't as clean and sharp as I have seen with other cars. I think this driver needs more seat time in the Z/28 or more familiarity with the track or some suspension tweeks. Look at the Video again, then look at the CTS-V and you'll see what I mean. I think it can run faster than it has thus far.

7:55-7:56-My understanding was that the CTS-V had more in it since they choose the AT instead of the manual and as fast a Heniricy is there was a couple of seconds left on the table.

Sounds like someone familiar driving in the Z with the way the driver flirts with the rev limiter like that ... This Z28 on the 'Ring also looks like the suspension is a lot lower than a stock SS... so I'm guessing a 7:55 lap would be sick.
Here's some footage of John Heinricy going around the 'Ring in the CTS-V setting the 7:59.32 time referenced in this thread... I'd say the Z28 looks like it was moving around a little quicker on the track than a CTS-V can... what do you guys and gals think? Come on sub-8's!! |

The hell with the Nurburgring times, just make it kick ass on the Mustang GT 500! Do you think the assclowns at Edmunds or any of these other rags care about Nurburgring track times when they compare the two and the Mustang constantly kicks the Camaro's ass???? I don't see the Mustang going to Nurburgring, yet it constantly whips the Camaro in comparisons.
