Not happening.

Also for people pointing out trucks, that's a completely different market and a good chunk of those went to fleet. Same with the W-body Impala Limited that's still in production clear through 2016, fleet only.

Also the Beetle went out of production in 2003.

2014, we are still making the previous generation Impala for fleet uses, such as police, and taxi, etc. alongside the new generation impala......

CTS-V is another example.

However, if GM did it for the Camaro (which I doubt they would), it would probably be for something like the Z-28 and COPO.

COPOs wouldn't be too far fetched but I'm not sure how thrilled GM is with having to produce LS7s long after the engine was supposed to go out of service.

Ford did this with the F150 in 2004....the Heritage F150 was the previous model produced ans sold while the new F150 was also produced and sold. It didnt last long.

Who's going to want the old model when they can get the new fresh one. When an entirely new model comes out usually the older leftovers are deeply discounted just to get rid of them. On this site there are different feelings toward the 5th gen as we are enthusiasts. We probably make up 2% of all camaro buyers. The general public usually wants the latest and greatest. Especially in the electronics/entertainment that is in the dash.

With the 69 Camaro, once the 70 1/2 came out, wouldn't you want to go back and buy the earlier model? Maybe the same will happen with the 16? Could be ugly as sin. time will tell.

GM produced the "Chevrolet Classic" (5th gen Malibu) along with the 6th gen Malibu for 2 years. It was restricted to fleet sales.
