So got rear ended about 4 weeks ago and final got my car back last friday. After many days of not having my car and 8 grand later my car is back to her old self better then ever. Here are some pics I took from beginning to end. Also I am extremely happy with the work that was done to it. I took it to a private shop, and I got a nice mercedes c300 2010 as a rental so that was alright.

Wait you didn't have insurance? Or you just know it was 8K in damage?

Not to sure how it all works out but my insurance company took charge in fixing the car (state farm) also a lot of that 8k went into labour so it was more like 4-5k in parts and 3-4 in labour.

Wow really. If she rear ended you, she should've been at fault! But anyways, happy to see you got your car back! Looks good!

^^^^ Most likely she is at fault. The OP's insurance co will go after her or her liability co for 100%
of the damages. It's called Subrogation.

^^^ thats right , and she was at fault, I was sitting at a dead stop and she turned a corner, didnt see me and hit me.

Better then even the bumper got damaged and the absorber panel underneath took the blow just like it should have. The car is better then from the factory now. As you can see eveything behind the bumber is painted much better then the original gm crap. I got 2 coats of paint 2 of clear and rust protection on the absorber panel, the original gm one got a half ass 1 coat on there with rust protection probably and thats it.
