Well turbo charging was developed for WWII piston engine aircraft. At higher altitudes the power would be reduced by the thinner air. One of the factors affecting turbo spool speeds in air density, the turbo can spin faster in the less dense air. So as air density decreases with altitude the turbo impeller speed increases cramming in more of the less dense air to compensate for the thin air and bring power levels back up.
A blower being mechanically belt driven off the crank won't do that. It spins as per the pulley ratio no matter what the air density is. |

Turbo charger is more better. Duh.
compare HP gains for SC kits to HP gains from turbo kits. Compare the price. Then go read the forced induction section. I'd pick turbo all day. AGP twin turbo kit! /thread

I'd go (vortech) supercharger but it's much more expensive than a turbo

My neighbor has a supercharger on his car. He cannot seem to fix the issue with the belt slipping, which is costing him power. He want to switch to turbo, since it's powered by the exhaust gasses.

Before anyone can answer the question about which is better, you will need to provide more details about what you want to accomplish. FI is never a "one size fits all" solution.

It depends on where you want your power band. Superchargers like a roots style will have instant gobs of torque. Turbos will have less in the lower RPM's but hold on tight once those snails get spinning...
Generally though turbos are the more efficient of the two.

In what I have seen turbos always seem to beat superchargers in races lol

Supercharger sounds beast but you just can't go wrong with twin turbo. Turbo is more efficient anyway cause it uses exhaust to get it going rather than the belt up front. *sigh* I need more money
