Painting splitter flat black
I just got my GM GFX splitter today and wanted to paint it flat black similar to the ZL1 ground effects. So my question is do I just tell a shop to paint it flat black? I've heard the ZL1 ground effects isnt painted it's just molded plastic. So I'm confused as to how a shop could get that color matched?

Its textured plastic. The shop should be able to come close with a corse top layer, but wont match the factory molded look exactly

Honestly, if I were you, I'd plastidip it for $6 vs $150 at a body shop. I've done a bunch of things with plastidip. It will give you that rougher look you're looking for, plus any stone chips will be a breeze to fix. Just my opinion

I would go to you local john deere retailer and buy a spray can of blitz black. I just sprayed my Mustang with it (with spray gun,... gallon, thinner and hardner).
Not knowing how to paint I got some streaking and it was a little more glossy than I wanted. The first pic is after taking a green scotchbrite to it. Second was when I first sprayed it. I used a "wet look" hardner and believe that is why it had a shine to it. There are some pretty good youtube video's of it. Blitz black is almost identical to Harley's Denim black on the newer bikes.
